The mission of the Outdoor Writers Association of America is to improve the communication and managerial skills of its members, set high standards for communicating outdoor subjects, promote outdoor communication in all media and encourage appropriate natural resource use and conservation.

The Southeast Outdoor Press Association promotes quality writing, reporting, broadcasting, telecasting, photography, illustrating and professional lecturing on outdoor sports, recreation and conservation, hunting, fishing, boating,camping, etc., and is dedicated to the promotion of ethics in the foregoing categories and activities.

The program is offered in Middle Schools and High Schools. We are volunteers that mentor the young adults that are about to graduate and go on to become the stewards of the sport for the next generation. By so doing we hope to preserve the future for the sport we LOVE!
